    Overview

    We are seeking a results-driven foundation construction Project Manager, to be located within our Santa Paula, CA Branch office, who has the desire to work at an industry leading company with a reputation for excellence. 

     

    Hayward Baker, Inc., a part of the Keller companies, is a leading geotechnical specialty contractor with offices located throughout the United States.  We offer a comprehensive list of geotechnical construction and design-building services including various ground improvement methods, slope stabilization, liquefaction risk mitigation, grouting, micro-piles, anchors, excavation support, soil mixing, jet grouting, etc. Hayward Baker routinely develops innovative, practical, and cost-effective solutions to challenging geotechnical problems for its customers.

    Responsibilities

    In this Project Manager position, you will be responsible for day-to-day new work acquisition and management of ground improvement, specialty grouting, slope stabilization / ground anchors, and micro piling projects, including:  Design assist / problem solving, estimating, executing, and profitably managing small and large projects throughout the Pacific Southwest based out of our Santa Paula CA office.

     

    Daily duties will include occasional jobsite visits / travel, extensive bid preparation, geotechnical design assist, subcontract negotiations, recognition and management of change order requests and claims, managing project schedules, cost control, project safety and QA/QC requirements, project invoicing, and assistance with securing payments, with an emphasis on building and maintaining long-term, beneficial Contractor/Owner relationships.

    Qualifications

    Qualified candidates should have 5 - 15 years of Geotechnical Construction or Construction Management experience, with a BS or MS degree in Civil Engineering, Engineering Geology, or Construction Management preferred. 

     

    Other qualifying requirements should include strong project management experience in general construction, stone columns, rammed aggregate piers, deep soil mixing, dynamic compaction, compaction and other soil / rock grouting, permanent tieback anchors, and/ or micropiles. Should have a solid familiarity with all project contractual requirements and proven experience working effectively in a team atmosphere with Engineers, General Contractors, and Owners.  Some experience within project development/marketing is preferred.  Excellent business writing and verbal communication skills are necessary.  High quality computer operations knowledge and efficiency is also required.
