    Overview

    HJ Foundation Company, part of the Keller Group of Companies, is a leading specialty foundation contractor. HJ Foundation’s Geotechnical and Deep Foundation Specialty Construction Work generally involves short and long duration projects. These can be Design Build or Plans and Specs Projects within our areas of expertise, and include Augered Piling, Displacement Piling, Earth Retention (Shoring, Sheet-Piling) and Bottom Seals (Tremie, Soil-Mix, Jet-Grout).

    Responsibilities

    We are seeking a results-driven Construction Project Manager or Assistant Project Manager who has the desire to work in a quality company with superior products and a reputation for excellence.

     

    The perfect candidate will have a great team oriented attitude and want to be in charge, hands on, lead teams & projects from start to finish, innovate & implement your ideas throughout the organization; growing in a fast pace, open door, friendly, and fun environment. Depending upon qualifications, this position maybe based in our Atlanta, GA offices. Travel is a requirement.

     

    In this position, you will be responsible for day to day management of projects, contract negotiations, managing change orders and claims, monitoring and managing project schedule, cost control and QA/QC requirements. This position requires the ability to lead, manage, and influence individuals, both internally and externally, including field, operations, supplier, contractor, engineer, among others.

    Qualifications

    Qualified candidates must have 3 - 12 years Construction or Engineering industry experience. A bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Civil or other, or another technical but non-engineering discipline is required.  Project Management experience is preferred but not strictly required. Excellent computer skills and written & verbal communication skills necessary.

     

    Other preferred skills or experienced include: strong project management experience in general construction, drilling, piling, earth retention, grouting, excavation, solid familiarity with all project contractual requirements and proven experience working effectively as a liaison with Engineers, General Contractors, and Owners.
